DIFFERENTIATE YOURSELF FROM OTHERS
One of the best ways to develop what it takes to be a leader is to take up one of 10,000 leadership roles involved in running AIESEC, at local, national, regional and global scale, as well as training in soft skills and functional areas in over 500 conferences and thousands of activities each year.
Team Member / Team Leader Programs
For the AIESEC exchange network to function, it takes a lot to run a Local Committee. As a member of AIESEC at your university, you will be part of a functional team that coordinates specific activities for the group. Businesses must be called, internships must be marketed to students, budgets must be balanced, and so much more. By participating in these teams you will have experiences most of your peers will not encounter until after they graduate and enter the workforce.
What’s even more valuable are the opportunities AIESEC will give you to lead a group of people.
Global Learning Environment
Another important facet of AIESEC is the multitude of leadership and training conferences you can experience throughout your time in AIESEC. Occasionally, for a weekend or up to two weeks, groups of AIESECers will get together to learn from and teach each other about how our organization functions, attend leadership and soft skills functions, and network with students with the same ideals you have, pursuing the same goals. These conferences are organized at the regional, national, continental, and global levels throughout the year.
Like the internship exchange program, these conferences are organized and facilitated entirely by current students and recent graduates. Learn from them, and then later pass on what you learned to the next generation of “change agents”.
